freelance photographer working for The Associated Press and a cameraman working for AP Television News said a U.S. soldier deleted their photos and video showing a four-wheel drive vehicle in which three people were shot to death about 100 yards from the suicide bombing. The AP plans to lodge a protest with the American military.
Afghan witnesses and gunshot victims said U.S. forces fired on civilians in cars and on foot along at least a six-mile stretch of road in Nangarhar province following a suicide attack against the Marine convoy. The U.S. military said militants also fired on American forces during the attack.

I've always been skepticle as to what info US people get from their press. Just curious if the US has "Freedom of the Press: Or as Senator Calhoun put it "The first victim of war is truth".

There is really no "free press" in mainstream America. The American people's answer to this fact is alternative media sources on the Internet. More and more people are not reading the newspapers and watching mainstream news because. How many facts must we know about Anna N. Smith? How about the story of the kid giving another kid a joint? Or the sicko husband cutting his wife's torso. Is this really news? People want real news however we will never get it by watching TV. America's news is the tool of corporate American and even it has been reported that the White House has spend a billion on "news." Most Americans don't know that $$$ are spent in other countries to spread propaganda. If you don't believe me do your research.

Of course the US has freedom of the press. How else could the New York Times get away with printing military secrets during a time of war?
