when i find a virus or a cookie on my computer, it says that i quarantined it. I go to where it says that, and i tell it to "remove" the virus. At first i thought that i was removing it from my computer but Now i am not sure. Am i actually setting it free again??? should i keep it quarantined??? what does quarantined mean???

Quarantined just means it is being held there until you decide what to do with it. It could be an ok file that you don't want to delete. You should see an option to delete files that are in quarantine. I have always deleted files in quarantine but I am sure every once in a great while there is something legit in there.

quarantined means it cannot do any thing it cannot be accessed or started up. you should beable to delete it from there. some times antivirus programs say remove. it will take it off your computer.
and if you are paying for macafee, i would stop and use avg free anti virus, it runs faster and its free.
http://free.grisoft.com if you do download it make sure you uninstall macafee before you install avg
and i use the free version of zone alarm as the fire wall

yeah what that guy said, its basicly a holding place for viruses, i think the dangerous part of them are deleted or further quarintened but i would just delete them fully that works the best. id still like to see if theres a virus out there that can virtually break out.. lol itd be like a jail break.
