Dear Sir, I am the one issued the warning 2 hours before Tsunami struck our Indian coast. The instrument I used to alert the people just cost U.S. $ 20.It was demonstrated in your country T.V.Vasantham central twice. On 20th march 2004 that is 9 months before Tsunami attack our coast I explained about the earthquake and Tsunami in your F.M.radio channel. When I approached your meteorological department they have not cared to find the capability of my simple yet reliable useful instrument called earthquake alarm. They say that the Singapore is in stable zone. Of course but you have several building constructed in reclaimed land. Those places are vulnerable for earth quakes. I was in you city on 10th April 2005. On that day at about 6.30 pm people at some places sensed the shaking. Later on it was confirmed as 7.3 on Richter scale and the epicenter was in west coast of Sumatra. On study of the seismograph released at your country and as per the concept of my quake alarm it should have given the warning time of about 2and a half minute. This time is quite enough to move to a safer place. But on the day of Tsunami I got the warning 2 hours before Tsunami struck our Indian coast. I have issued the alert message to local T.V.stations. They ignored my warning. These types of carelessness are very common in our country. But even your country has not shown the interest to find the usage of my quake alarm that can help to save the people from several types of disasters.
