You just dropped your mom at the dentists office and you're stuck in the car waiting for her. So, you park your car and listen to WILD 94.9 for about an hour. Does this have any long term effects on your battery? Will it recharge when you drive again?

Nothing to worry about. Your radio doesn't use much juice, any drain on your battery will be quickly recharged when you start the engine and run it for even a little while.

A car with a healthy battery and charging system will not be affected at all by running the radio for an hour, or even TWO hours.

I do it all the time. I sit in my car and turn on the radio during my lunch hour, and charge my cell phone battery at the same time.
