I have found that fear does act to protect us from harm, but sometimes we allow fear to get in our way for senseless things. If only we can control our fears. I feel we can all be much happier.

I'm too scared to answer this question.

Ha! lol.

I once heard a saying of what FEAR stands for

F alse
E vidence that
A ppears
R eal

What is that one saying? A Courageous Person only dies once but a coward dies a thousand times? Some people fear things that aren't even real. Others fear to take action because they are afraid of failing. They would be much better off trying and discovering their approach didn't work....then to beat themselves up month after month living a life of fear from failure.

I say it's time to cut loose people. Be bold...try something new...who cares if it ends in disaster. At least you will have learned something...right? Maybe next time you try it...it will be a success!

We don't "Allow" fear to get in our way. This is something no one can control. You're right that if we could control fear we'd be much happier. But you cannot control your emotions. If you fall in love with someone, but know they're wrong for you, there's nothing you can do to change the way you feel. All you can do is try to use your head and not your heart. This is next to impossible to do.

If only murders, thief's, and cheaters would only have fear of the karma that they would suffer if they do their sinful deed, they would save themselves and others so much misery. Some fear is good. you are absolutely right\
but fear is comfortable
as the fear of the unkown keeps people back, in their comfort zone, thus people tend not to go beyond their boundries out of fear of the what if factor.. so that keeps them in check
