Well, if you want the immediate results, it pulled us together against a common enemy by making us enter World War II. However, the long-term effects of World War II included an economic upturn (pulling us out of the depression, unlike the New Deal), a growth in technology (radar and sonar weren't overly useful until improved in WWII). The war also put the United States into the lead role on the world stage, which would later solidify our foreign relations for the next fifty years thanks to the unavoidable conflict with the Soviet Union.

As Yamamotoe (spelling?) said, "I fear we have awakened the sleeping giant." Basically, it roused Americans into quite a frenzy after being attacked and the Japanese AND the Germans had to deal with our troops.

Ralph, do you feel better about yourself being such a racist? Does it help you to sleep at night. I guess you feel good about yourself. Dont you have anything other to do then look like you were raised to breed hate and give pain to others.
