I didn't know this until I accidently stumbled on it. But you can look up the names you want for your baby and see how popular they are in the US at least. I'm using Emma still, despite how ultra popular it is. My name is Jennifer and was SUPER popular when I was born. I didn't suffer too much so she'll be ok. Try this site.

Tell me what you think.

Thank you for the additional sites. But the baby name wizard name voyager is based of the Social Security Database Info. Just in case you were curious where exactly they came across that data.

There is an even cooler site that tracks popularity of names over history. Click on the link below and then launch the java voyager. It is amazing!

There's an even better one on BabyCenter. It's pretty neat. My son's name isn't on it. It wasn't a big shock but it's not uncommon.

OMG! I looked at the site more and my son isn't even in the top 1,000 baby names of 2005! His name is Martin. Is it really that uncommom. You're site is way better then mine I'm sorry for ever doubting it!!

"Tell me what you think."

That a mom named Jennifer and a daugher named Emma will at least be fairly anonymous...

(Really, nothing wrong with it, I suppose. _Somebody_ has to be at the top of that particular pile...)

Similar idea, but I think this site is pretty cool. Check it out:
