I need to buy an electric guitar. I have been playing for about a year and i have no idea what kind of guitar is good for beginners. I also need an amp. I am on a limited bugdet so please keep that in mind. Thanks a lot, and just in case you missed it, the answer should be an ELECTRIC guitar.

i wish people wouldnt ask this question. its not a matter of me or anyone else to let you know what guitar to buy. buying a guitar is like going to get fit for a prosthetic limb!!! go and play the guitars in your price range and get a feel for what works for you. and please dont listen to what these people have to say on this issue they probably have never even seen a guitar and click on webpages looking to get best answer. trust your own instinct!

well if you go to a music store you can tell this to some one who works there and they'll be more than happy to help you. if you live in a place that doesnt have many friendly people and you're to shy to ask you can go to one of those thrift-shop-like places to find one. i dont know about an amp but i have seen some guitars priced down to about $99 and they hadnt had a single scratch on them.usually, though, the people working at a music store may look pretty scary, but are totally nice and will help you with what you need. a Gibson is a really nice guitar and has good quality but is usually priced high. now, i know youre a guy but Daisy Rock has guitars for everyone. a lot of guys use 'em and theyre really good also, but are priced in the 200's range.

It mostly comes down to how it sounds. Check out a music store if you've got one around, and see if someone can help you find one right for you.
They've got beginner's packs. Cheap but good guitars and amps together at a low price.
