Totally normal. Even at a month old she probably won't be up for more than 45 minutes at a time including feeding time. Even being hard to wake can be normal, but if it is accompanied by a weak suck while nursing then contact the doc.

This is very normal! As long as she's waking up because she's hungry, and being fed. Newborn babies will sleep 3-4 hours, and then wake up to eat. Was she born a healthy baby, if she was maybe she just want to sleep in. Does she wake up (does she open her eyes) when she's been fed? Well just to make sure give her Doctor a call. I have two kids, My daughter will sleep more an eat less. My son would sleep less and eat more.

It's perfectly normal at that age what else do they have to do ? lol That's pretty much their day eat sleep and well you know how many diapers you go through. If you become really concerned you can always call your pediatrician. Dont feel embarrased with any questions you might have I'm sure he/she has handled many new parents and the same question asking questions makes you a better mother! Congrats to you and dont worry there will come a time when you wish she was sleeping lol have fun

Its very normal! Some babies sleep a lot, and especially if your daughter was early.
Our first son was 4 weeks early and I had to set an alarm through the night to make sure he was getting his feeds, otherwise he would sleep right through.
I wouldn't worry too much, as long as she is taking her feeds, and has regular dirty nappies....but trust your instinct always, if you really think something is wrong, get it checked out.
Trust me, soon enough you will wish she would sleep a little more ;-)

Very normal. Take advantage of it, it doesn't last long.
During the day keep your normal noise level (tv, dish washer, dryer, ect.) going and lights, and during the night keep it quiet and dim. This will help introduce the routine of sleeping at night, and staying awake in the day.
Your baby is just fine, sweetie! Congrats on your little one.

Yes, that is very normal. I have twins and I had to wake them up to feed them as well. She will start staying awake a little longer week by week so take advantage of this time while you can. Good luck and Congratulations!

i wouldnt call myself experienced, but if you think there is something wrong, dont wait to call the doctor..
but when i had my daughter, i was very surprised to find out that when babies are that new they sleep most of the time.. they wake up when they get hungry, then go back to sleep. the only time mine was awake for the first couple of weeks or so, was when she was eating.

very normal but I would check with the doc or a nurse to make sure the amount of formula or milk being consumed daily is in the normal range. Enjoy that little girl and best wishes.

In the very early years babies need their sleep. The more sleep they have the better for them. This is the time when babies have their most growth period, and need their sleep to do this. Some babies are very light sleepers and wake up at a drop of a pin ,and some babies are very sound sleepers. If you are concerned ,and you seem to be bothered by her amount of sleep ,then please ask you peadiatrician about your concerns.A content mother makes a content baby.

yes it is just fine my last daughter was the same way and she is six months old now. The doctor told me as long as she's gaining the right amount of weight it means she's getting enough food and there's no need to wake her up to eat.
