I need movies other than the obvious- like Enough. I have to watch movies about marital abuse/violence and write a paper over them. I have "Not Without My Daughter" and "This Boy's Life". I need help with this please?!?!

I am also going to look at The Burning Bed. Unforgivable is the name of the John Ritter movie, but the couple of big movie stores here don't even list it on their websites. Also, I don't get the Lifetime channel so that's out. Keep the suggestions coming, thanks for all your help. :)

The Burning Bed with Farrah Fawcett. When no one would listen is another one. I know of more but i cannot think of the names of them right now. Watch Lifetime Movie Network as they have alot of these types of movies on. How about the one with Julia Roberts called Sleeping with the Enemy. These are just a few of them.

Turn the TV to Lifetime or Lifetime Movie Network, or visit them online. If you look in the TV guide for those two channels, read the little descriptions, and you'll find loads of movies about battered women. Basically every other movie they play is about that. It's ridiculous...how can women enjoy watching movies about women getting beat up?

The one mentioned about with JLo is "An Unfinished Life" and it also has Morgan Freeman and Robert Redford in it. There is a very old one that I still can't watch and I can't remember the name of it, but it is based on a true story and starts Nancy McKeon and the guy who used to play Darian on Sliders. It is very very hard to watch but an awesome movie.

i know this one that i seen a long time ago, i don't remember the name, but i know that john ritter was the abusive husband in it, pretty good movie

Try "Sleeping with the Enemy," with Julia Roberts. Her husband was such a psycho control freak, it'll make your hair stand on end. Great thriller.
