the psychological stage of teenage development is mostly the choice of peers over authority figures.
So yeah, every teenager will do what their friends say before their parents, teachers, etc. The end result is the world is out to get them, as they identify with peers instead of parents-- it's a teenagers job to push the boundaries so they know what they can do when they move out and have to set their own.

All teenagers think the world is against them. Teenage angst, sometimes is more than just the blues though. Depression is a serious problem and shouldn't be taken lightly. If you are talking about someone you know, try to get them to open up to you and build a relationship of trust. If not get them professional help, there might be some trauma that they do not want to talk to you about.

Only sometimes... I think it's a combination of things. Hormones, and just the fact that there is so much pressure... pressure to get good grades, pressure to do drugs and drink alcohol, pressure to abandon your old friends for the cool group, along with parents watching over your every move. It's not as bad as it seems, but the accumulation of events all collapsing on you at once can be a heavy weight to carry. The world is not against us, but sometimes stress is.

I think most teenagers go through that. I mean, I'm nineteen now, and I've never been like that, but most of my peers were. A lot of teens I see nowadays hate everyone except for their friends. The amount of hostility at school (primary and secondary) is amazing to me. Only once you go to uni does it start to cool down and people start being nice to each other.

basic problem is 'generation gap'.
parents /elders also have passed through teen age phase and as they grow they foresee the problems of teen age from some height and try to advice/warn teen of the same and here is the root cause of dispute.
teens are under peer pressure and are not in mood to understand what elders are trying to convince them and think that world is against teen

at some point yes, from my experience. And what's funny about it is that I never did anything to make anyone mad at me. I think it has a lot to do with being self-concious and thinking about what others seem to be thinking of you. I think we misinterpret people and their actions a lot, but I realized that often times it's all in your head. When I opened up more to others I felt more comfortable around different kinds of people.

yes... I'm so sensitive... small things, i make it a big deal... it's just like, 10% of what is happening to you, 90% is how you react to it...
ALL, not only teenagers, go through 'depression' or stress... because it's just normal... but sometimes it ends up dangerously...
