depends on what you mean by rich.
to most people in, say, Calcutta, yeah such a person is rich.
to a "typical" american, probably not.
there are some people that like to appear as rich. they might have nice clothes and a nice car, but their home is a dump, and they spend money on what makes them look a certain in public.
this may or may not be the case for the person you have in mind who shops at hollister. i'm not familiar with hollister, by the way.
www.hollister.com didn't help!

I don't consider it being rich. I consider it being trendy. People who are in to name brands usually hate to buy anything else. So they pay the price for name brand clothing. I know people who buy clothes like that, and don't have money for anything else, because they blow it all on clothes. It just depends on the person. I hope this answers your question.

they have to have some kind of money because the clothes at hollister are not exactly cheap, but i would consider them more preppy, and people who wear hollister act like they are all that and have an image to keep up and will only wear clothes from holister and abercrombie.

I don't think hollister is the super expensive brand.
It's kind of sad that people judge others by just appearance.
I saw someone wears good brand's clothes but he/she wasn't that rich person.

no.. i know many people that wear them. and mostly not rich. just preppy. i think clothing stlye is more of a "clique thing" than a "social class thing".
although it is true that most rich people do wear hollister brands..but that's just cause they have the money to always shop there.

no, i wouldn't. i am not sure what is considered rich. it is not so much the money that gives someone the status of being rich, but being pure and having a good character and being a good person. that is what makes someone truly rich. it is what is on the inside that counts, not the outside. good luck.

rich in what way?
not in life my dear.
sounds real shallow to me.
the almighty race to the top.
and where or what is the top?
sometimes I find myself as pathetic as you wondering about what makes me rich.
Sometimes I just have to open my mouth and all this shallow garbage comes out about what I have or what I know.
and at the end of the day we should look to each other for making our lives rich.
glad I could help.

not necessarily. someone could be poor and just spend all their money on expensive clothes and no one would knoe the difference. real rich people shop at gucci, versace, armani, dolce and gabbana, battego valleto, polo, armani exchange, and kenneth cole like i do. all this stuff is really nothing special to me and sometimes i just wanna live like normal people u know?
