Most antibiotics will not harm your baby. Check with your pharmacist to see if it's a class B medication (most are class B's). Only class C's can be potentially harmful to a fetus.

Good luck to you!

typically, your fetus won't be effected by almost anything in that first 4 weeks before you know you are pregnant. This is because it is mostly dividing cells at that stage. Make sure you stop taking the antibiotics.
I looked up a website for you and this is the info. on antibiotics...as you will read, the greatest risk of that particular antibiotic was after the first 4 weeks. I'm sure you are just fine!

Antibiotics
Some, but not all antibiotics are known to cause birth defects. Check with your doctor to learn if the antibiotic you were given carries a risk of birth defects.
For example, let's look at the risk of taking one antibiotic, streptomycin.
Time of exposure to avoid: The first 12 weeks
Greatest risk: After 4th week of pregnancy
Risks: There is an almost 10% risk that the ears of the developing fetus can be affected and result in deafness.

if you took one pill then I wouldn't worry. Definately ask your doc but think of all the women who don't know they are pregnant and take stuff-always seems to turn out ok!

Yes it could! Drugs react differently when you are pregnant! You can't even take asprin. Never take anything without checking with your doctor. Get a pregnancy test - soon!

WTF did you expect one pill to do?

WTF would you expect a full course of antibiotics to do for a cough?
