Yes I have.. Its like when you go to get your hair done, if you are pleased with the service and the hair cut you tip your stylist.. If you are pleased with your tattoo artist and psyched about your tattoo... tip em'!

It helps to tip because most of the money goes to the shop owner. It pays for bils and ink and so on. THe artist does not usually get paid a lot, unless they are very good and well sought after. Plus if you tip the artist will do a good job.

Yes, if you feel like they gave you a good deal on the tatt you definitely give him or her a 10 to 20 dollar tip. If you think they ripped you off just give them the 100 and never go back.

I always tip my tattoo artist, (i have 3) it's her work and you should show how much you appericiate it especially if you want to go back for more. I only tip like 5 bucks for 100 dollar tattoo it doesnt have to be much but it just shows that you actually apperciate her or him

i've never had one. my friend, however, has quite a few. right now he is in the process of the getting a sort of stylistic skyline of the city he grew up in on his left upper arm. it is huge and he is getting it filled in with color. he has gone four times to work on it. each time it cost about 200 and he said he then tipped 50. so yeah, i think you are expected to tip (especially if you are relieved that it turned out ok and don't immediately regret your permanent decision lol).

I guess if they did a really good job, a tip would be a token of appreciation, just like you would tip a waiter-waitress
