Er.. that was the whole point... it is a joke based on the 'Bono thinks he's God' comments, so that response is a little late.
I like the man, personally.

Talk about people missing the point! Good grief. You poor thing.
This is an old joke and I still find it amusing... as you pointed out, it was started in the first place to poke fun at Bono's ego. That said, I think a lot of what he says is misinterpreted - how many men who have been world famous for over 20 years hitchike their way to one of their own gigs halfway across the States? That's what B did in 2005. Seriously.
I think he does a lot of good things and is fundamentally a decent man. He probably does a hell of a lot more (to help those less fortunate) than all his detractors here put together.
Hopefully more people will actually get what you're on about before the night is up. You made me laugh, anyway!

I like Bono, I think he may get himself mixed up with God sometimes, but aren't we all made in Gods image anyway according to Christians? Sorry - I mean, made in Bono's image?
