NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER sing songs from the show you are auditioning for - UNLESS the Director has specifically REQUESTED it. That is like BEGGING to NOT be cast!!!

Others to consider:

"In My Own Little Corner" (Cinderella) = good idea!!
"Out of My Dreams" (Oklahoma!) = good idea!!
"If I Were a Bell" (hehe - pun not intended) (Guys & Dolls)
"Goodnight, My Someone" (The Music Man)
"I Could Have Danced All Night" (My Fair Lady)
"Stranger to the Rain" (Children of Eden)

If you're allowed to do songs from movies:
"Part of Your World" (Little Mermaid)
"A Whole New World" (Jasmine's part) (Aladdin)
"Who Am I Inside" (Mulan)

It's always best to pick something that the Director hasn't heard over and over and over again - and it's more important to choose something that shows off your voice than to do a song you really like.

Any of the three you listed is a good choice. But make sure you are familiar with the songs from B&B also. It is considered "bad form" by some producers to audition with a song from the show being cast. Others, however, will hand you the music and request you do a specific song from the show.

So be sure you can do either....

Out of all of the one's you listed, I like In My Own Little Corner best.
I Have Confidence from Sound of Music would be great too.
So would Getting to Know You from the King and I.
Break a leg, I love Beauty and the Beast!

I'd do Out of My Dreams.......it conveys innocense as well as intellect and it has a good energy about it. It's an easier sell which equals a better audition. Good luck to you.

It's always good to familiarize yourself with songs from the role you are interested in just in case they ask you to sing.

Choose something that will show off your voice, show your vocal range, etc.

sing beauty and the beast so they know that you are able to sing the song and they don't have to worry if you will be able to sing that song well
