yes they do make the rules and are free to do so. some of(in fact many of) the violations are ridicoulous though

I don't know...I just got one violation today and I am wallowing in self pity right now.

Y/A is not a public forum that is required to preserve freedom of speech. It is a privately owned company site and they are free to make whatever rules they want regarding content. If you want free speech, stand out in the street with a sign. If you want to use Yahoo's product, follow their rules.

I don't know
high level of censorship
sometimes I hesitate giving an honest answer fearing violation notice
