Sure. Trust has to be earned by the individual and is never given freely. Trust is hard to achieve and easy to break. I personally don't trust anyone I don't know and few people that I do.

I usually do not trust people unless I have known them for a year or more unless in a shorter period of time they can show that I can have there trust. It usually is not easy to trust someone but, sometimes you must do it soon which is a great trait to learn.Just make sure you know not to give them something you would not want anyone else to know.Sometimes I can't trust close friends with my own information which I think I probably will never trust anyone with. Hope this helps.

Very difficult to trust anyone these days. I would guess that we extend limited amounts of trust, however, just to get through life. The buzz word today is "safe". Many women, for instance, talk about needing to find a "safe place" in their life.

I probably trust people too much. But, playing it "safe" seems too restrictive to me. I try to take calculate risks with people and stay alert at all times.

To answer your question, yes, I think we all have problems with trust.

Of course..! It truly is hard to trust anyone these days. The government, the church, hell, you can't even trust your local authorities to "serve and protect". The way I deal in a crazy world, is, I trust my self. When I trust myself, It give people less room to disappoint me and less power to control me. You can't control people, but you can control your perceptions and actions toward them. But to have a general mistrust of "everybody" is a mistake that could cause us to end up alone and miserable. People will disappoint you, it's almost like preparing for the worst and hoping for the best or not putting" all your eggs in one basket"
One things for sure if you expect to attract people who are "trustworthy" you got to be trust worthy your self. Give your trust to the people who deserve it and "expect" that most people don't trust themselves and as a result cannot be trusted.

I am actually too trusting of people at first. If someone betrays me then they loose my trust. If its just a friend I dont really connect with them anymore. If its my romantic partner I either decide if its worth working out or letting that person go. I understand your point of view completely/

today is hard to trust person, but you first have to trust your self to make wise and accurate decision for your self and then you can find ways to trust other. trust is given until the person you gave it to breaks it but until they break it then that person will have to earn it back. don't always be on the defense because you will never know if you can really trust some one. try it am not saying to be foolish but use your own judgment with person because we are all not the same.

I do. It's unfortunate because trust is such an important aspect in any relationship, but everyone I've needed to trust has let me down. It's extremely dissapointing. I wish I knew how to fix that.

I'm generally misanthropic too. It's easy to be these days in a culture of adolescents with no idea who they are and who they should please. Our society is suffering from a lack of individualism, and as such most individuals are unable to even understand themselves. It isn’t some disorder to not be attached to people around you, and there’s nothing wrong with it as long as you’re pretty much happy. The only real solution is to look for more self-confident and independent people with values you appreciate. I wish you well and hope that eventually your peers will realize who they are and you’ll be able to communicate with them realistically and without suspicion.

Yes I find it hard to trust most people these days, there are so many dishonest people out there who will do anything to be friends and then they start asking you to do things for them, loan them money, baby sit for free, etc. LOOKOUT!!
