I breastfed both my babies for nearly a year...they pretty much weaned themselves. One of my OB nurses told me that when you are breastfeeding is the only time you actually lose fat CELLS!! Cool reason to do it! Yes I gained some after my first and lost it by walking and smaller portions at meals...cut out some junk. I put on a lot of weight after #2 and honestly I haven't tried consistently to get it off....my fault; I'm fat! But still happy:}

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

I've gained alot of weight since I stopped nursing. But, I'm lazy! I am a mom of 4 and nursed 2 of them for a substantial period of time. I weaned my son(who is now 10)at 6 months when he started to bite me. I nursed my youngest daughter until she was 9 months old and i had to stop cause i needed surgery. I planned on nursing until 12 months. Breast is best! Just nurse as long as u can or as long as u feel comfortable. The 1st month is usually difficult. Try to find some support. Good luck!

i nursed two boys 9months, then 7 months. as for weaning, both times it was mutual. my second boy was particularly hard to nurse-so easily distracted! anyhow, i lost weight both times after i stopped nursing. i think it's because nursing takes a good amount of time, and was very relaxing (to me) i just didn't care much for exercising at the time. besides being ready to lose weight, once they are getting more mobile, the job gets a little more physical. i had the best legs when my son was 18 months old. i was doing about a hundred squats a day- lifting him up ..."no!"

I breast fed my baby for one month, I lost 28 lbs in that first month, after I stopped breast feeding I have lost an additional 10-12 lbs (fluctuates) and my baby is six months old. I did not gain any weight back and am smaller then my pre pregnancy weight by 10 lbs.

Long time ago, but I breastfed until he got his first tooth. I had a hard time keeping on weight when I breastfed but when I stopped, keeping it off was a problem.
