I just bought a paintball gun on ebay, how do i tell if it is brand new, never used?

Well, I just bought a Spyder Electra with Eye. The seller says that it is brand new, never used. How can I tell if it hasn't ever been used? Is there any secret way?

If you paid a lot less than retail, it didn't come from a name retailer, and the packaging isn't sealed, it likely isn't new, unless the seller aquired it at an auction for a closed outlet. There is no secret way, and you can't make the final judgement until you have it in your hand.
