A troubled teen told my daughter over the phone he was going to do this and has now made his phone go directly to voice mail and therefore unreacheable. This is not the first time he's done this , and that is why I am asking. He has been in a lot of trouble before, (drugs, alcohol, juvie, etc). My daughter has distanced herself from him recently because of this type of activity and how she doesn't agree with or accept it. I just want to know how to help her deal with this type of threat/behavior.

So they can be stopped I assume. Doesn't mean they won't try it if you ignore them. In fact almost all people who attempt suicide have told some one. Is this your "cry for help"?
