Yes .. you will definitely have a good life here with that allowance, just be careful of bad people here ok. Don't trust anyone that easily.

You could live extremely well in the Phils with that level of income. The only problem you will run into is that you cannot own property in the Philippines unless you are a Philippine citizen. You can however rent or lease a house without any problem or marry a filipino woman and buy a house in her name.

Your life at USD 7800 would be fantastic. You will be "rich" - driver, maid, car, nice house, etc.

Some foreigners live in The Philippines with incomes of USD 2000 (or less) per month.

Are you kidding?!!! with $7800 monthly allowance that would be 380,000 pesos - you could live a King's life here in the Philippines. You could get a penthouse in one of the most luxurious condominium or buy a beach house in one of the most exclusive resort. You can get as many maids, cooks, drivers or any helpers you want.

If you are talking about US$7,800/month, you might be one of the richest people in the country (except for the corrupt politicians). If you are talking about 7,800 pesos/month, you might scratch by barely, but no mortgages.

Rule of thumb--if you can live off it in the states, you can live off of it here. Like others mentioned, you cannot own property unless you are a filipino (dual would work).
