...it has been proven that from the moment of conception the group of cells or zygote is alive. How can people support the decision to murder an unborn child in the name of a "personal and private choice" ? From the moment of conception, the cells are created, die, and replace eachother. That sure qualifies as life according to numerous medical articles I have read. This is not from a religious standpoint, but from an ethical and political one. One stating that every living thing has rights and the right to protection of those rights? Why does an unborn child not qualify?

There is only one circumstance where I would accept abortion, and that would be if the mother was is serious danger. Such as if the mother was diagnosed with cancer while pregnant and she needs treatment that would kill the baby. Even then they could prob wait until the baby was old enough to extract from the womb and further care for.

My question is why support such an injustice?

OKAY NOW. SOME PEOPLE ARE SAYING THAT ITS ABOUT THE PRIVATE OWNERSHIP OF ONE'S BODY. ITS NOT THE POINT I AM ARGUING. I AM SAYING THAT ITS CONTRADICTING THE GOVERNMENTAL RIGHTS OF EVERY LIVING PERSON ON THIS EARTH. IT ROBS PEOPLE OF THE BASIC RIGHTS OF EVERY LIVING THING. PUUHHLEAZZE DO NOT PULL THIS CRAPPP ABOUT IT BEING "YOUR BODY, YOUR CHOICE" CRAP BCAUSE IT REALLY AGRAVATES ME TO KNOW THAT INNOCENT PEOPLE REGARDLESS OF AGE ARE BEING ROBBED OF THEIR BASIC RIGHTS UNDER THE LAW. THE PROTECTION THEY DONT HAVE REALLY MAKES ME UPSET.

i dont think the cluster of cells can say to have rights. But i also don't think abortion is a woman's choice. She did make a choice, and it was to have sex. she's not doing what she wants with her body, because when a fetus is beginning to grow, there has been an addition to her body. Her body had always functioned normally and was defined as a body before the fetus. The fetus is not a new organ a woman can use as her body. I honestly assert how can a fetus that is using the body as a place to grow be considered part of her body? If the cluster of cells are taken out and grown in a test tube, is it still part of her body? Or, since the cells can grow into a baby outside of the body, doesn't that show that the body is only a preferred place of growth for the fetus? the problem with abortion is that a woman decides to have sex. she sees she's pregnant. then she sees her option to be "i must abort it"for several reasons. A good common one that we all have heard is the inability for responsibility. many women dont' want to take responsibility for their actions. that sort of selfishness should be frowned upon, even if it is legal. Furthermore, not enough weight is given to the idea of adoption. There are poeple out there that can't have babies. They would appreciate the chance to care for a baby. The troublesome child born from a single parent has teh chance to become adopted and grow up in an assumed healthy situation. Abortion has become convenient and a means to curb responsibility. many times, it's the result of poor knowledge about birth control. a little knowledge and correct contraceptive practices can save the hassle. A condom works. Still, our young decide not to use one. why? sex is inevitable. dont preach abstinence, unless safe sex is preached as well.

Let me just start off by saying that this response does not necessarily represent my own personal viewpoint. I only want to point out a flaw in your reasoning: cells in general do not have rights. Although they may technically constitute a living entity, can you think of the last time that someone was charged with murder for killing an amoeba? Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?
Hence, the logic for most pro-choice individuals: a (bunch of) cell, whether in the form of a living bacterium, or in the form of a zygote, are equal. These cells are considered "primitive," and do not represent a human life, according to abortionists.
So from what you stated, you can't simply say that "it has been proven" ...clearly, the question arises: says who?

Papa I know you're going to be upset
'Cause I was always your little girl
But you should know by now
I'm not a baby

You always taught me right from wrong
I need your help, daddy please be strong
I may be young at heart
But I know what I'm saying

The one you warned be all about
The one you said I could do without
We're in an awful mess
And I don't mean maybe-please

Chorus:
Papa don't preach, I'm in trouble deep
Papa don't preach, I've been losing sleep
But I made up my mind, I'm keeping my baby
I'm gonna keep my baby,mmm....

He says that he's going to marry me
We can raise a little family
Maybe we'll be all right
It's a sacrifice

But my friends keep telling me to give it up
Saying I'm too young, I ought to live it up
What I need right now is some good advice, please

Chorus

Daddy, daddy if you could only see
Just how good he's been treating me
You'd give it some blessing right now
'Cause we are in love
We are in love, so please

Chorus

Lighten up. If you don't believe in abortion, don't have one. If you believe life starts at the moment of conception, believe it - WE DON"T CARE!

The fact remains....the only person that can make a decision concerning a womans body is THE WOMAN HERSELF. No one can force a woman to have a child if she doesn't want one.....not even your warped explanation...and least of all, the government. They, and you, need to stay out of other womens wombs.

Just because you believe one thing doesn't mean everyone must believe it.

I'm sure you are using this forum to simply support your own opinion.

I would love to see you take a platform that fights for the born children as much as the unborn. Foster children, volunteer and tutor, or give to a food bank.

I agree that abortion is a very poor choice for birth control, and I think that abortion solely for birth control should be limited.
That being so, do you eat meat? Eggs?
That is life, according to numerous medical articles.

If a woman is raped and becomes pregnant ......she should have the right to abort if she wants. Being forced into anything else would be an injustice.

We want to keep the welfare rolls and crime down. Most of which comes from the kids of poor, single mothers.

It's never been proven when it's a blob of cells and when it's a "baby". Until it is proven, this debate will go on and on and on...

Are you willing to have your taxes raised and the crime rate to go up if these unwanted babies are born? Abortion is here to stay. Get used to it. ( Remember, the USA is a free nation.....You want to take that away?)......................OH! One more thing......."How many children are you taking into your home?" Unwanted Children that is.......
