I want you to answer only if you can remember the heart rate from your ultrasound, and whether you had a boy or a girl. This is the Old Wive's Tale:
They say heart rate of 150 and under a boy; but 151 or higher it's a girl.
My first child's was 146 = boy
Baby #2 is 133bpm = ?? Not sure of sex, but feeling like it's another boy, and sort of believing this old wives tale, lol.
What was your child's heart rate..and boy or girl?

baby # 1 ran about 152 most of the time BOY........
baby #2 ran about 171 most of the time GIRL......

its all a lie lol ill be the first to tell you!!! We have 4 boys, and im 23 weeks pregnant with another boy!!! Our second oldest and our youngest i can clearly remember their heartbeats always being in the 130-140 range, this one has been in the 160-170 range, and at 19 weeks we found out it was another boy. I was so set on this one being our girl, all the wives tales, and chinese gender deals said so. But ive seen enough boy ultrasounds to say i have 0 doubt that its a girl. LOL no matter what you have you will love it just the same :) Wish you luck on a happy healthy pregnancy!!!

I really don't believe in this Wive's tale but My son was 135 to 145. With the one I'm caring now ( I found out by ultrasound that its a boy) his heart rate is 135 140

Both of my children heartrates in utero were over 150. Taylor, my 3 year old little girl, was usually around 160. My little boy, Ethan, who is 3 months, his was usually right round 150, but did dip below a few times. So many old wives tales, its kinda hard which to believe. Hope this helps!

The times that I remember, 155, 160, 140. It's a boy. So, I think it is just a wive's tale. Good Luck!

I have heard that the heart rate may take in effect if the fetus is a boy or girl, by a friend of mine from her gynecologist.. But, my daughter's heart beat was around 141 alot. So who really knows? Have you had an ultra sound yet? That may be easier to predict the sex of the baby.

:) My babys heartbeat is 150-170 and am having a boy, so for me no. Any old wives tale is 50/50. He doesn't go very low with his heartbeat at all.

All three of mine were 160 and I had one girl and two boys. It is a old wives Tale.

all my ultrasounds said the heart beats were mid 150's... one was a boy and one was a girl...
my cousin, 140's and had a girl...
so i do believe that this is a wives tale.

my only pregnancy so far, I had a boy and his heart rate was never under 155 everytime I was checked. It all depends on how active you are and how active your baby is. My son, he never stopped kicking and moving around. He will be 2 1/2 the end of April and still has never stopped moving, I swear.
