I Have used Paxil for about 2 years. I wanted to stop taking it for a long time. I had a hell of a time cuz it gave my head a spin whenever I missed any. Finally it got to the point where it gave my head a spin if I took it as well. So when I was pregnant I finally weaned myself off of the stupid thing. It was difficult but I had a really good reason to stop. I wish I could have stopped earlier in the pregnancy but it was almost impossible. A few weeks ago I saw a commercial that scared me. It said if you took Paxil while pregnant your child may be at risk of heart or lung failures or defects. But my daughter is now 2 and she seems fine.
If you are trying to quit I wish you the best of luck. Then swear off any of those pills forever once you are done!

I took it for a while and then lost my health insurance so I couldn't afford it anymore. I just gradually weaned myself off of it, first by cutting the pills in half for about a week, then I started taking them every other day.
I didn't have any problems with it at all. Of course now I'm back on it again, but that's a whole different story.

Dr prescribed it for insomnia - and after a couple of weeks, weaned me back off. It worked like a charm, and no adverse side effects. But then again I only took it for 2 or 3 weeks

yes ,,, went fine but i went on zoloft instead,,, after so long the strength of paxil wont work for ys so you have to make changes so you dont build up tolerence to them

My doctor weaned me off of it. It took 3 weeks so I would not have any side effects from being taken off of it. I had been on it for 3 years though.

I took paxil for one week, it made me cry. dr took me off

I quit Lexapro and I am doing just fine.

Yeah I quit. My doctor gives me xanax now teehee. I love'em

use a lot of omega 3 supplements and you will feel better, it does help a lot.

I never took it in the first place - all those drugs are bad news!
