if you were a guy and got your girlfriend pregnant would you stick around with her? say your girlfriend is 16 and you are 19. I am doing a sociology paper and its on teen pregnancy it's not me but i just want to know honest opionions

if your man enough to have sex you should be man enough to stick around for a baby. you should have considered the possibility of pregnancy before deciding to have sex!

I'm not a guy, but maybe you will want to hear my answer anyway.
My boyfreind was 19 and I was 21 when we found out I was pregnant. he stuck around. We didn't run out and get married right away or anything we waited till after the baby and until we were sure it was what we wanted to do.
My best friend was 17 and her boyfrind was 19. They stayed together untill the baby was two years old. Then she left him. I know he would still go back to her even now, but he is not who she wants to be with.

Well if the guy had any sense he would, a 19 year old sleeping with a 16 year old is statutory rape and holds a 5-15 year jail sentence, if the guy does not want to help support the baby all the girl's parents have to do is call the police and he will end up in jail.
Hmmm jail for 5-15 years or taking care of my child? Im sure thats not a hard decision to make

I was 17 and my boyfriend was 19 when I got pregnant. He stuck around and we are now married with 4 beautiful kids. If you leave now you could be walking away from an amazing family that you didn't even know you wanted.

Yes. I am a girl, so my opinion might not count for much but you honestly need too. If you don't you'll end up paying child support anyways. You played a part of the getting pregnant and you need to do your part in raising the child. Its your responsibility, don't be a complete asshole and walk away from what you did.

it is not whether you want to stay around, the question is whether you CAN stay around.
This is the case where the man is an adult and the woman is not...this means that he is a sex offender and if arrested and convicted, he could go to jail for a good while...if he is not lucky enough to garner probation...
