If you get married in the Philippines, you remain married all your life because there is no divorce here. Your remedy is to file a petition for the annulment of marriage but there are cited elements for annulment. You cannot just have it annuled according to your terms. There is also a legal separation, but this remedy does not give you freedom from your marriage. You remain a married couple in different roof.
You do not cheat your wife or you go to jail.
Filipinos who get married in america do not enjoy these protection, that's the difference.

Yes it is different. Philippine wedding is a FAMILY affair! You will be swamped by relatives and even friends. If you invite one person, expect that person to bring another person or sometimes more. God-parents are already a part of the wedding ceremony.

It is always expected that in a marriage it is the man that provides for the family or the "Padre de Familia". When you marry the girl, you are basically married to her family and worst the entire clan. So whatever problems her family might encounter, you are expected to help or give some assistance in anyway. But you should set limits.

By the way, it is not Philippino but Filipino. It is derived from the Spanish term "Las Islas Filipinas" or the Philippine Islands. Philippine women are called Filipinas.

they are basically the same... the differences depends on the cultures of the uniting families..Religion is a big deal in Filipino marriages..Chinese marriages (mostly arranged-marriage),and other Ethnic marriages are still practiced. The religion, culture and influence are the factors of differences that one can oberve regarding marriages in a country.

Its very different. In the Philippines, no divorce, family values are highly considered, mostly men rules in the house, most of the filipina are submissive to the husband and takes care of the household matters.

If you are talking about the ceremony, yes, they have much the same ceremony, but there are differences like the veil and cord, and the ahrre, but mostly the same. Being married to a Filipina is much the same as being married to an old fashioned girl, circa 1950's or so. They are more down to earth, and agreeable, and less bichy.
