also in the folder with the foriegn movie there was a SRT file.....when i erased no files and played the movie in realplayer on the computer, it had the subtitles....when i erased the srt file and played it again, the subtitles were gone....theoretically, if i add the srt file to the pocketdish digital media player, the subtitles SHOULD show up...correct? i just have a feeling that the pocketdish player doesnt read all the files like a computer does....they're two seperate files, i dont even click on the srt file on the computer, just the .avi file to open it.....will the pocketdish know to put the two together?

PocketDish can't read SRT files. What I'd suggest is taking your AVI and SRT files and using it to encode to DVD format, then using that to either upload to the PocketDish, or burn to DVD then play it into the PocketDish. Here's a good forum post which shows you how to convert SRT into SCC format, which then in turn is used to transcode to DVD format, with closed captioning:

Dubbed. it is so distracting to objective and study subtitles -- you are able to miss the quite a few action. Or, in case you watch the action, you permit out the subtitles! lots of the time, they do an quite sturdy activity of dubbing, this is infrequently substantial.

Hi Wog,

Your feeling is correct. Your pocketdish player is not reading the second stream. I don't think you will get it to work.
