I love Irish names. My son's name is Eian, but I also like Liam, Conner, Rory, Devlin, Aiden, Casey, Cullen, Colin, and Seamus.
Do a google search for 'Irish boys names' and you'll get plenty of hits from sites with big lists, complete with meanings, pronunciation guides (for the Gaelic ones), and alternate spellings. Good luck!

I don't know how Irish this name is, but I am reading "A Separate Peace" by John Knowles, and there is a very interesting character in the book named Phineas(Finny for short) which I think is cute. Maybe think of characters in books that you enjoyed. That's where my mom got my name.

You could always consult one of those baby name books. They have a ton of ideas, and many of them will tell you the origin of almost any name, so you can make sure it's Irish.

Rory. My cousins name. And NO it is not a girls name to those who watch gilmore girls. My male cousin Rory is 50. Good Celtic name. Liam has become more 'common' in the last 5 years.

That is easy it doesn't matter if the name is common i'll advise you to look at that baby very close and and figure out what name resembles his face. i know this is weird but just try it.
