b side is just another song on the album. neither a remix or and unwanted song. there are no b sides to digital music. one can call it that if they want but they don't. also b sides are only for 45's. not for 12 inch.
i've produced and released more than one record.

The B side of a vinyl single is just another song but on the opposite side to A. The song chosen for the B side is/was considered less likely to be commercially popular.

When I was a kid in the 1970s and buying a ton of vinyl 45 rpms....a b-side was just another tune on the album. One of the most famous b-sides of all-time was in 1975. Black Water by the Doobie Brothers started out as a b-side. Some disc jockey in the south flipped it over one day and it later became a #1 hit.

The B side to a vinyl disc was the song or piece of music that was not promoted. The A side was marketed and played more often by radio stations, and sometimes the B side was a dud, sometimes a gem. It varied a lot

I might be misunderstanding you, but the B-Side is essentially (whether vinyl or digital) the artists work that wasn't too popular or never meant to be on an album, or never made it to an album.
Although if you're not talking about modern b-sides, its just the other side of the vinyl, usually the song that wasn't advertised or meant to be the MAIN song.

a bside on a vinyl is usually a different song, not necessarily a remix/whatnot of the same single; a digital bside would be the same thing... a different extra song that was not on the album

people who make the albums can do despite they want with them, and sell them by using despite outlet they elect. it rather is the persons option to purchase the music at such places or no longer. ba: i think of that previously somebody says a band "bought out" they could desire to attempt paying employ, foodstuff, roadies, kit, and different charges that come due and then come back around and let us know all approximately advertising out. i by no potential heard each person say led zeppelin bought out for lending a music for various cadillac advertisements. i think of the undertaking of being ethical is a subjective one. particular, a band or artist can go through for their "paintings", yet that would not pay the charges. i nonetheless think of it rather is as much as the guy making the music...i do no longer see something incorrect with the exposure and extra revenues one might get from advertising their album at a great field superstore. i undergo in ideas turning out to be up interior the 60's in an extremely small midwestern city and incredibly much the only place one ought to purchase a steppenwolf, beatles, cream, and many different band's albums replace into at kmart or woolco. that gave many individuals an outlet to get music that we might in any different case no longer have. of direction, it rather is totally diverse on the instant with the internet and downloading, however the belief is the comparable. walmart must be between the only strategies obtainable to many youthful childrens for buying albums.
