The only option you have since there is no legal aid there is to find a pro-bono attorney. Most counties have attorneys on a list that do this when their counties don't have legal aid. You have to talk to the DA's office to get the list.

Contact your local Bar Association or your local Legal Aide Association. You can get these numbers in the yellow pages or by calling the clerk's office of the County Court. Good Luck.

I would contact your local Leagal Aid office. They are real lawyers who will work for an income based fee. If you are below a certain amount of income, they will do whatever you need done for free. Since they are a state agency and they answer to the state, they get done what they need to get done. My husband had to file papers for visitation rights for his other children and they did the work for free. They should be able to help you. If you don't know where to look, either look in the phone book or contact your locan department of job and family services.

The answer to this is actually very simple. Call your local court clerk's office and ASK. They can direct you to legal aid services that may be free and to services that are discounted.

Look for a free legal assistance group in your locality. They usually have offices near the courthouses or government offices.
