Menstruation can be unusual when it first begins but it seems a little extreme in your case. Make an apt. with your doc. & get a check up. Have you lost a lot weight recently? Some athletes stop bleed due to lack of body fat.

I had the same problem when I got to the puberty. When I visited a gynecologist for the first time,I mentioned about I only have had my period twice or three times on its first year. At that time, the doctor told me it was normal I have those hormonal imbalance until I turn 18. When I turned 18, my hormones were still imbalanced than she requested me to renew some exams that were taking on my first time visit to the gynecologist. The doctor asked image exams of my ovarian and blood exams to check my hormones. The exams images exams came out normal but my hormones exams came out all imbalanced again, and she (my doctor) told me I might have a dysfunction in the Hypophyse ( gland in the brain), nothing serious. She prescribed me birth controls pills, to correct this imbalance. While I kept on the pill, my periods were regular but If I get out of the pill, the whole thing come back as before.
Now, I am 33 and I recently founded those symptoms are results of PCOS and the birth control hormone is the only treatment. I can get pregnant, so there is no worried about that, but the pill treatment, its something I should keep on indefinitely to prevent the formations of cystic on my ovarian ( the cause of those imbalances on my period, experienced since puberty).

I don't think there is a problem and it takes some peoples bodies a long time to get every thing regulated and all that. To be on the safe side go talk to your doctor and see that all is well.

Your probably just irregular. I would go see a doctor. Just to make sure everything is normal. I'm 33 now. When I was your age and when I first started I don't think I bled every month either. It's probably normal.

no honey, you are ok! I didnt become regular until I was like in high school. If you are sexually active, use protection since you wont be able to tell if you miss a period. Make sure that you have a female in your life that you can talk to about the womanly questions like this. good luck!

that is not unsual especially if you are very active. this is because women with lower body fat percent get their periods less often. if you concerned you should definitely talk to your doctor. that can never hurt.

It can take a few years to get into a routine, but if you are worried please talk to a doctor because they can answer all of your questions.
