Kindly advise the place where it is safe for two ladies to travel. We are more interested in the food and night market/street shopping. We only have three days to spend. Low budget suggestion please.

The cost of living in Penang is lower than in Kuala Lumpur. So, save your money and go to Penang! Food paradise in Gurney Drive. You'll get to try a very large array of Malaysian food over there. "Laksa", "Char Koay Teow", to name a few. Then, head off to Gurney Plaza for shopping. As for night market, there are night markets everyday. Just at different places every night. Check the local newspaper!

I u r a singaporean or travel to singapore i suggest u go to malacca..
there's a few back pack hotels u may stay & lots of place to visit by young ladies like u..
quite an interesting historical place to visit & lots of night market/ street shopping..
have fun in Bandar Melaka

I suggest Kuala Lumpur. Although it's a city, i'm sure you can still find a cheap hotel somewhere. There's a lot of places for street shopping there. E.g Petaling Street, Jalan TAR etc..
