I didn't start until I was 14 1/2. I thought there was something wrong with me too. Don't worry. Sports will make your periods different. After 22 years of having it, it's really nothing you want---trust me!!

Yeah perfectly normal. I started the summer of 9th grade, during Volleyball tryouts, and because I didnt know the proper way to defend myself while working out/running, I was more worried about that than the tryouts and didnt make the team! I was so upset! Nice time to start!!!!!!!!

Yes, it is perfectly normal to not have started your periods yet. Doing a lot of sports sometimes holds off your periods. If you are that worried about it, either ask your pediatrician or an OB/GYN; they can assure you that it is normal.

Yes, it's perfectly normal not have started menstruating yet.
I had a friend, who was 15th when she started. I would talk to you female relatives (mom, sister or aunt), this would give you a better idea when you might begin. :)
However some women atheltes don't bleed when they don't have a lot of body fat. I'm not sure if, this is true for you.
