Here are a few. First and third say free apron patterns. Middle one advertised that they'd done a booboo and was giving some away - for kids.

Easy measure the 12 year olds waist-----cut a rectangle the measurement of the waist and gather to 2/3 of that measurement. Stitch with an average size stitch to secure.
Cut a one-half inch or one inch wide grosgrain ribbon twice the measurement of the twelve year olds waist measurement. lay on top of gathered stitch line and stitch to secure with at tleast two rows of stitching.
Hem.
Another easy way to do it is to buy aLOT of rick rack. fold edges under and apply rick rack to top to decorate and to secure the folded edges. Then use the rick rack for the apron tie.
repeat for all others the same (, if desired)subtracting two inches from each side to reduce sizes.
an apron is only a gathered rectangle and a ribbon tie. You can make the sash with the same fabric or choose a print fabric and a contrasting ribbon to frame the apron and function as a tie.

just do a search in a search engine browser of your choice. I always find things this way. Look under "children apron patterns." Good Luck!
