If I decided to install my dvd drive and my hard drive on the same IDE, how would I set the jumper setting.?

How would I install each jumper on the hard drive and the dvd drive.

you cannot hookup 2 different types of IDE devices on a single cable, a dvd drive stays on IDE 2 and harddrives stay on IDE 1

when you hook up your dvd drive to a seperate cable change the jumpers to master..

(this is all to my knowlage, but im pretty sure)

set jumper on HDD to master

set jumper on DVD to slave

place the hard drive on master and the DVD on slave.
