My 1 month old loves it. The doctor wants her to have a bottle of water occasionally. My mother in law thinks that it will harm her oral health since it contains splenda.

No This is not a joke. To address the babies 1 month old do not need water thing; my pediatrician told me to give her a little water in between bottles because my baby has a tendancy to want to overfeed. I had splenda every day when I ws pregnant as well. I was not aware that it was forbidden in pregnancy. Where di you learn this from?

I found this about pregnancy.

Q

I have heard about a new sweetener called Splenda. Is it safe to eat foods containing Splenda when pregnant?

A

Splenda is a trade name given to a generic, low calorie sweetener called sucralose. According to the Food and Drug Administration and the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives, sucralose is safe for everyone to consume, including pregnant women.

Don't give your baby Flavor water because it contains Splenda... its to hard for your baby to digest. The best kind of flavor liquid you can give your baby is White Grape juice by gerber.

Oh geez...I hope you are joking! You should not be giving your child anything with artificial sweetners in it! Also, your child gets all of the water she needs through breastmilk/formula. That should be her one and only source of nutrition at 1 month old. I really hope this is a joke. A person would have to be an idiot to really do this... Babies at 1 month do NOT need a bottle of water.
