Does anyone have ideas for a "soft look" for a transgendered classical musician due to perform next week

Hi! I am going to be presenting some classical music I wrote to a professional group. I am transgendered, male to female, but not fully transitioning. Anyway, my look is becoming very androgynous, with long auburn hair and the low dose hormones I am taking are showing some subtle effects. I want to present myself in comfortable, relaxed yet nice clothing, which is flattering and well . . . has a soft quality to it without being obviously feminine. Men's clothing or women's clothing, but the women's clothing can't be so obviously feminine that I look like I am crossdressing. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Also, want to wear my hair in a demure way -- willing to go more feminine for hairstyle -- it works for me! This is a big big step for me, both professionally

how about a casual trouser suit, or just tailored trousers (more flattering if they fit well) with a nice shirt/blouse. then it is not strongly male or female.
I am not sure what your body shape is, but have a look at this site, it lets you enter your size and shape etc and tells you which clothes will suit you.
also, you can add some touches that will look a bit feminine, eg. jewellry that is understated. as for your hair, what about wearing it down, but with a hairband so it is not falling in your face, but will look stylish and subtle.
good luck and congrats on this, i am sure your music will be the main focus rather than what you look like. :)

I have to agree, your music should be people's main focus and I am assuming you will be onstage so noone will really be able to see you close up.

The main thing is that you dress so you feel comfortable because if you are feeling uncomfortable it will affect your performance.

From what I have seen in regards to classical music performances you cant go past a nice sharpe pale coloured long sleeved shirt and black pants. It suits the music, its a classic look!

Hope it all goes well.
