I like LionBrand and they have quite a few free patterns. They have a nice cape on there,

I like crochet.about.com or lionbrand.com for good patterns for crochet. I am working on a really nice cape now from lionbrand. remember you can modify the pattern to make a longer cape by working more rows, just make sure you remember to increase in the same areas. you may want to mark your increases to remind you.
