Ok, if there's anyone here that loves the Mavs more than I do, please come forward, I mean I've been loving them through the good and the bad, and as much as I am enjoying this season, they're not even close to the Bulls. And to the people that wanna see rings, I think the question is referring to the regular season, before the Bulls won their 1st champ., so in that respect, I's say they're playing some really darn good basketball, and I LOVE them for that. The way they focus on winning is awsome. I just hope they make my week and beat those m-f-ing lakers. Peace!

I remember watching the Bulls back when they played the Lakers in the finals with MJ (before they ever won their first championship which is the same position the Mavs are in right now). The Mavs aren't quite that good yet. In fact, I don't think there's any team in the current NBA quite like the Bulls yet. Remember both those MJ teams won consecutive championships 3 times in a row twice. It was almost expected for them to win every year. Right now no team is that good including the Mavs. The Mavs still need to prove themselves to be better than the Spurs and Suns but still if they get past the West then they'll have a good shot a winning the championship this year. Dirk is a great player, but he's no Jordan or even Larry Bird caliber yet. The Mavs still need to win one championship then do it consecutively to be considered a Bulls caliber team.

Season wise, they are because they have been improving lately with their shots. But overall, the Mavs have not won a championship, so that proves that with MJ, the bulls have more of a champions heart and game. Once the Mavs have won some championships, maybe i'll change my mind. I'm still a Mavericks fan.

You must be trying to pick a fight...dont get me wrong, I'm not a bulls or mavs fan-or even a fan of mj for that matter. I just remember how nobody could come close to the bulls with mj for a long time.

Take the 1995-1998 seasons:

Reg season record 203-43 (in 1995: 72-wins and 10 losses)!!!!
Playoff record 45-13
NBA Championships 3

The Mavs are good but as good as the bulls were with Jordan, now that's funny. That's not even a competition, the Bulls won 6 titles with MJ at the helm and the Mavs have, count them ZERO. That Bulls team was a dynasty this Mavs team is a good team that we are all going to watch not win another NBA championship this year.

If the mavericks win it all we can maybe start to consider the mavericks as one of the great teams in the history of the NBA. I believe they would have to win a lot more than one championship to be better than the bulls with mj.

no matter how well a team does in the regular season, if they can't perform in crunch time, nothing else matters. The Pistons as the underdog 3 seasons ago were the underdogs, but beat the team with Kobe and shaq (aging Malone and indifferent Payton don't matter) They come in next year with the highest record in the league with near 70 wins, but don' even make the finals. Oddly, the underdog comes through in the end quite often. The suns of 2 years ago were the scariest team, which unfortunately didn't last. They had the best point guard in Steve Nash, inside presence with amare, one who runs the floor in Shawn, and the scariest shooters in Quentin Richardson and Joe Johnson. The two took 1,001 3s that season, hitting 486% of them. My final answer is that a team can rule the regular season, but won't necessarily win in crunch time. We'll just have to wait and see who is the best.

theyre good but not that good. in a few years if they when numerous championships id say they are just as good as the bull with MJ and scottie. theyre really good right now. i havent seen a team so focused and able to pull out a win at all costs like the mavs.

Are you kidding. They would have to win all of their games to just tie the Bulls best season record. The Mavs havent even one a championship yet, so I dont see how you can compare them to a team that won 6 championships.

If you're talking regular season records, maybe; however, if you are talking championships, no. Until the Mavericks win some NBA championships, the BULLS are one of the G.O.A.T.(Greatest of All Time).
