I have one of those 3 foot deep pools for my kids and I have found that during the summer I can't keep the frogs out of it. I tried using alot of chlorine but that didn't help any. I even put a cover over it at night but every day I'd take it off and find a bunch of frog eggs in the water. I can't afford to have to fill and empty it everyday. Any suggestions??

*laughs* If they don't want frogs why would they want snakes? This is a futile effort, any amount of water in an area with frogs will have frogs. A fence? You gonna put a roof on it too? Frogs can climb, honey. Put some carnivorous fish in there, it can't hurt, but I doubt it will help much.

My best advice is to learn to love them. Think about all the mosquitoes and other bugs those frogs are eating. Sit outside one evening and listen to them, they'll sing you a song. If you have frogs you live in an ecologically healthy area, don't worry about the frogs, worry about what it means if you -don't- have frogs. (especially in areas like here in Florida.) It takes relatively high levels of toxins in the water and soil to affect frog population, dissappearing frogs are a sign of ecological collapse.

Drain the pool, clean it, keep a cover on it when not in use and assure each time that it is on that there are absolutely no gaps between the cover and the side of the pool. Frogs can squeeze into suprisingly tight spaces, and think about it, they only get to breed for a little bit of time each year, water is essential for this... you can't blame them. If you're worried about frogs making your kids sick, if the water's chlorinated any, this shouldn't be an issue. Are they just in there or are they actually breeding in there? If it's chlorinated at all, fish most likely won't be able to live in it....

Ah, I'm babbling now, I'll stop.

Put a tall criss cross fence around it. Only way I can think of. I don't know how many feet high, cause I don't know how many feet a frog can jump.
