He's dragging his feet. He takes too much time. I just want him to budge, y'know?

I know what you mean. It took him 6 days to create the universe. I could have done it 2 days, if all I'd had to do was just lie back & say Let there be this, Let there be that.

Specifics? Budge on what? Tell me when was the last time that you created a thunderstorm, taught a lion to roar, created a mountain from the ocean floor, raised a man from the dead or hung upon a cross and take on the sins of the world? Don't misunderstand God's long suffering as passiveness. Why wouldn't you want everyone to be be saved and not just a few. All that have been given to Jesus by the Father must be found and saved before the time line of events is started back up. That is the prophecy and the word of truth He (Jesus)will not lose any that was given to Him by the Father. Budge? Why should He budge when He is actively working in your life right now?

James, the brother of Jesus, says in James 1:3-4, "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." I understand you feel that God takes too much time. It does often feel as though He is dragging His feet, but God's love is big enough to give you His undivided attention. He knows your needs even more than you do and He wants to bless you in a way that is greater than you can imagine. God's timing is perfect, so it must be our patience that needs to be perfected. When you feel impatient and you want action, remember this, God knows your desires before you even express them. He wants to bless you, but you need to trust Him to do so in His own timing, because He knows what's best for you. You wouldn't walk on a lake that hadn't frozen yet out of impatience, because you could fall through. But how do you know it's not frozen? God has that perspective that you don't. Trust Him, He loves you.

In a certain sense, it's not possible for God to budge. You are the one that needs to accept that you will budge. You have no choice, really.

God doesn't intervene. He gives us freewill to do as we choose. We are not little pawns that he moves around. He will give us subtle hints when we're going the right or wrong direction. Little signs that we can choose to see or not. He will also help those who help themselves (when you're on the right path & things just seem to fall into place to help you along.) Aside from that though, He is distant & quiet. We will meet him soon enough...

I prayed every night for seven years to have a baby. Finally did.

Sometimes things take longer than we want them to.
