How did the Israel group of JET fighter appeared the aircraft as one on the radar?

How did the Israel group of jet fighter appeared the aircraft in the radar scale to be one aircraft which caused their arabs enemy to be defeated in their seven days old war? any idea will do...thanks in advance!!!!

That was the Six Day War.

The Arabs had primitive radars and primitives manning them.

It's very simple the planes fly so close that their individual radar images merge into what looks like one image. This was Very easy with the Radar of the 1960's but is very hard to do with today's Radar as you are scanned from various angles including airborne.
