k my frend shez like 17 n shez been kiked out of her house since she was 15 n frm then shez been living in foster home n child care n now her parents want her to change her last name? she is not married dey want her to change it bcz it matters in thier legal matters and stuff n shez like wah should i change into? n i hv no clue wah to say

OK who is paying for the name change is cost like $800 you shouldn't have to
f i was her i would want to change my name and never be associated with people like that
she can pick what ever name she wants to but she does have to wait till she is 18 unless she gets adopted by someone over 18
you can call the court house in your town and they will give you all the info you need
but try not to talk Ebonics to them they will not understand you

Tell her to keep her last name. If she is in foster care tell her to report her parents if they contact her or have any negative interaction with them. I'm sorry to say this about your friends parents, but they need help. A LOT of help. She might want to keep her distance, these people are not thinking about her at all, they are thinking of themselves, and she needs to be very careful.
If she would rather change her name than continue with the drama, tell her to look in a phone book or check online for baby names, or how about the last name of her favorite actor/actress?
