What do they have to do to prove themselves? Win a championship? did that in both. I know BBall Gators where going through a slump, but after the Ky game they look like the old gators again. So why does everyone still hate?

They hate on them because they are jealous that their schools can't win championships in both basketball and footballl. So whenever the gators have the slightest slip-up or show the slighest bit of mortality the people and the media like to hate on them. It was pretty clear to me that the gators were just trying to coast for a bit because they had already won the SEC East and didn't have much to play for, but now from what I saw in the Kentucky game they have their hunger and their swagger back and they will be feared going into the NCAA Tournament whether they are a #1 seed or not.

Me being a Gator fan I don't care who hates on who as long as the Gators are winning!
But to answer ya question is because they are so damn good and no one wants to see 'em win! Except me!

Because of all the illegal recruiting and payments to players that the NCAA lets them get away with because of all the revenue they bring to the NCAA.
