ohhhhh I hate wal-mart with a passion. I like target, but they have no targets here in Hawaii, they have 3 D@#$ wal-marts on this tiny island, but not one target.
why I hate wal-mart
The items that they refuse to sell, such as Maxim, Stuff and other guy magazines, come on, they sell Cosmo (which did show a guy's pubic hair before), which we all know is full of sex, but they yanked maxim? That one pregnant barbie doll that came out a few years back (cant let young'ns know where babies come from until they turn 18!) and their refusal to sell albums with parental advisory stickers on them. Now I know most people can just go to Best Buy, and get their explicit music, but there are quite a few unfortunate souls out there who only have wal-mart to shop at.
The cheaply made merchandise. The only thing that you can buy from wal-mart, and get your money's worth is a pack of gum. In my experience, everything that I brought from there has not lasted two seconds. I think that it is just cheaper to shop at Macy's or Sears's (stuff that I have brought at those two stores has lasted me quite a while)
They treat you like you are a criminal. If they have security cameras in the store, and security scanners at the exit doors, them WHY do they need to see your receipt as you walk out the door (to make sure you didn't steal a candy bar or something on your way out?) WHAT OTHER store treats their customers that way

It ran businesses like Winn-Dixie and the Piggly Wiggly out of my town. I miss those two stores! My papaw would always take me and my cousins on walks to the Piggly Wiggly to buy us a piece of candy. You can't do that anymore...now, you have to go to Wal-Mart....which, it's so crowded you can barely move.

Thank goodness people around here had rather have fresh food than Wal-Mart's food...so, places like the Peach Corner and our Flee Markets are still in business (these are family owned places and the Flee Market is many people coming together to sell...well, it's a market).

Edit: oh, and we don't even have places like Target or Sams Club (I think that's what it's called). We have a Wal-Mart, Kroger, and an E.C. Porters....then, the smaller stores.

Hate it, hate the people who work there and the people who shop there, I hate the fact the one where I live is so messy and there is never enough cash registers open, the parking lot has a lot of pot holes..... I try very hard not to go to wal-mart..

I think of Wal-mart as a necessary evil. Our small town actually has a Wal-mart - - - but that's IT. No other place like it to shop unless you drive 40 miles. I also think it is a monopoly of sorts, which is fine by me if it was a top notch place, but it isn't. Maybe it used to be when Wal-mart was first getting popular, but now there's so many Wal-marts that have poor management. Workers are not treated fairly - - - they aren't happy - - - - so customer service goes down the drain.

The Evil Empire!! They are the life sucker of small businesses and they drag the low-lifes of society into the area when they open a store.

I Hate Wal-Mart!!!

I think that Wal-mart is a down-grade of Target. Seriously compare it and then you'll see why i'm saying this.

Interesting site. I'm really going to have to take a better look at it at some point. You've changed my outlook on walmart so far though.

I personally don't like it because they are rude, they treat you bad there, i'm disabled & can hardly walk any more, & when I need to use the amigo carts, they won't let my husband bring the amigo out to me, they tell him I must walk in there & get it....NOT RIGHT AT ALL!! Also my husband used to work there, they fired him for NO REASON! He won his un-employment tho, as the dunmmies they are, they forgot to give him a pink slip, so he won!!!

I worked there for 4 years. They don't pay well and have horrible insurance. They strongly advised us NOT to unionize. Ever since I quit working there I have shopped at TARGET!
