well it depends on certain things. they could either end up sub-.500 or end up in wild card contention. the biggest factor thats going to determine the outcome is if sheets can manage to finally stay healthy an entire year, and get some wins while giving the bullpen a rest for a game. if this happens along with some hot hitting by the young lineup, then the brewers may be able to hang in there for the wild card race. if they become injury plagued like last year then they will probably end up losing 90 some games again.

The Brews should win the NL Central. Their starting rotation is that good. They need the kids, like Weeks, Hardy, and possibly Braun to step up, and the Prince should improve. If the offense comes around-and I think it will-and Ben Sheets stays healthy-they win the division. I'll add this caveat; if EVERYTHING falls right for the Cubs-Prior makes 30 starts[!], Marquis knocks about 1 1/2 runs off his era, D. Lee stays healthy, & Wood stays healthy-the Cubs could take the division. Of course, thats a big IF, so I'll go with the Brewers to take the Central in '07.

Lineup: G.M. Doug Melvin points out that things fell apart in 2006 when Rickie Weeks was lost to injury, not when Carlos Lee was traded. No one replaced Weeks' power and speed. Injuries to J.J. Hardy and Corey Koskie as well as poor production from Brady Clark and Geoff Jenkins-pushed the offense toward the bottom of most categories. With Weeks, Hardy and Koskie healthy, the offense likely will remain a power-based unit.
Rotation: Assuming ace Ben Sheets can avoid the D.L., the group has potential. Behind Sheets, the team ha reliable Chris Capuano and breakout candidate David Bush. Claudio Vargas is a downgrade from Doug Davis, however. The team needs a fifth starter yo emerge, and Carlos Villanueva is the front-runner.
Bullpen: Francisco Cordero saved the bullpen last season after coming over in the Lee trade. Former closer Derrick Turnbow suffered a major meltdown, young Jose Capellan often failed to get out and Matt Wise was injured again. A return to form by Turnbow is key to the 'pen's success.

With a really talented team that's poised to bust out this season, they could go far in a weak division. But they have a glaring weakness at manager. Their fate will also rest on their closer position.

I think they have an outside shot at the playoffs. Good chance that they finish second in the NL Central behind the Cards.

Far enough to not make the playoffs. Yes they are improving, but not a lot. They will be in the hunt until the last week in september, their hitting is pathetic

Around a 76-86 record. They don't have the pitching or enough offensive weapons to contend this year.
