THe Joshua Tree - U2
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness- Smashing Pumpkins
What's the Story Morning Glory- Oasis
I loved these albums because all of the songs were fantastic and beautiful and it's rare that you can find an album that all of the songs are great and tell a story :)

Rust Never Sleeps, Neil Young & Crazy Horse
OK, I love Neil Young & Crazy Horse, so sue me!!
but the man really can write.
I guess I could fit some Bob Dylan in here, too.

The River by Bruce Springsteen. This double album basically defines America in the 20th century. He went into the recording studio with supposedly 40 songs, he had to cut out half of them!
Any album by The Moody Blues. The inventors of "progressive" rock are still going strong today!
So many others...sad to say they are getting old and today's kids only know corporate rock and rap.
