does anyone know how the rankings of the soul reapers for bleach work? like i know the squads go by numbers, but are the lower numbers higher positions or the other way around? i just dont get it

The squad number usually has no bearing on the strength of the people in the squad. most squads have a specialty in a particular field ex: 11 swordsmanship, 2 speed step and foot fighting, 4 medics, 5 demon magic.

their squad numbers have no signifigance, although each squad has a special.
For example
4th squad is for healers
11th winning is everything and his squad members, even if you have to die...
but i think 13 is the strongest but im not sure if this is true

you have your captains, then vise captains and then you have your regular shinigamis.
