I read it last year for english, and I was surprised by how much I loved it. I'm actually going to re-read it sometime soon just to brush up on details. My favorite part is when Scout asks if someone to pass the damn ham. Probabaly because we had an imitation contest in english and it was really funny to watch my teacher say it over and over.

It was absolutley amazing and i loved it. I think that a lot of the topics discussed in the book could be directly linked with things happening now. Also, this book(along with the movie 12 angry men), made me believe that jury duty is the stupidest thing ever.
I eman, you train a highly intlelligent expert to become a jusge. You TRAIN them to go to the best schools to be as objective as possible. And then you pluck 12 random people (they may be biased, they may not be, TOTALLY RANDOM) and THEY, not the highly tained completeey objective judge decide the fate of the victim...
the book is overflowing with concepts about unfairness that still go on today. brilliant novel.

I loved it. By far, it is my favorite classic.
I adore the title, and i think it is perfect for the book. Lee was smart in using "mockingbirds" as a way to symbolize innocent people. I love the morals taught in this book, and how they are put in simple stories that we usually encounter in everyday life. I think it is one of the best books ever written.
I'm glad you enjoyed it as well =)

It is a wonderful book and a wonderful movie. Did you get the symbolism of who the "mockingbird" was? =) Just think about it.

Brilliant novel. I've read it at least 10 times. Go ahead and ask me a tough question? ;)
It's sad that this kind of prejudice is still going on in today's world.
